What is the Text widget used for?
The Text widget allows your operators to fill texts during their interventions.
Where is the Text widget ?
The Text widget is located in your editing studio, in the Tasks category.
How to configure it?
It is possible to define a default value. The default value can be modified or not by the operator. If you want the operator to be able to modify this default date, you must activate the option "Authorize the modification of the default value".
You can also link this widget with an attribute of type Text.
In practice, how do I use a Text widget in my Ermeo form?
Context : Imagine a company carrying out building inspections and declaring anomalies. The operator must describe the anomaly he encounters in the field. You must therefore use the Text widget within a Creation widget.
1. Drag and drop the Creation widget within your form. Name the "Anomaly Creation". In the settings, choose the Anomalies database.
2. Within the Creation widget, drag and drop a Text widget. Name this widget "Description". Link this widget with the attribute "Description Anomaly"
3. Publish your form. Start an intervention on this form from the webapp or the mobile app.
The option "Text long" will allow to fill a longer text within this task. If the Text widget is linked to an attribut Text, which have this option, so the option will be automatically activated into the task, in the studio. The number of letters filled in this task is almost unlimited.
There is no option "Short Text" currently.
