Why is offline mode important for field operators ?
Operators may have to carry out interventions in places that do not have an internet connection or network (basements, tunnels, etc.). Disconnected mode is therefore important. The operator will be able to carry out his intervention despite the fact that he does not have a network on his phone.
How to activate offline mode on your phone ?
Step 1: Application version
First, make sure that the application is up to date in order to activate the offline mode.
Tip : To check if your application is up to date, you need to compare the version number of the application, on your application and on your web platform. These two versions must be equal.
On the web platform : Connect to your web platform, then click on "Web Application". Go to the "Others" section then click on "My Profile". You can then see the number of your application.
On the application : Click on "Others" then in "My profile".
Step 2: Click on "Activate offline mode"
In the "Others" section, click on "My Profile". Then click on "Activate offline mode".
Tip : To deactivate the offline mode, you can just click on "Deactivate the offline mode". So you can easily "switch" between connected and disconnected modes.
Step 3 : Click on "Download the database"
This step will allow you to have on your phone, all the data necessary for your interventions. During the download of the database, the application must remain open.
Step 4 : Wait for the data synchronization to finish
Synchronization takes into account the latest modifications made on the platform. As an operator, you will therefore be aware of these modifications in real time. Always wait for synchronization to end (percentage of 100% reached and stripe turning green).
For synchronization to take place, you must have a network. If the phone is in airplane mode, synchronization will not be effective.
Once these 4 steps have been completed, you can work in peace with the offline mode.
