What is the Bar Code widget for ?

The Barcode widget allows your operators to scan a barcode, a QR Code or a bleam. If an item of equipment has a Barcode attribute, then its barcode can be associated with it.

You can define a default value in your Barcode widget.

In practice, how do I use a Bar Code widget in my Ermeo form ?

Context : Imagine a company listing engines in factories. Each engine is characterized by a bar code. Each engine therefore corresponds to a resource on the platform and will be characterized by a bar code. We will therefore use the Barcode widget in our form.

1. Drag and drop the Bar Code widget into a Creation widget. Name the "Engine Bar Code".

2. Link the "Engine Bar Code" brick with an attribute of the Bar Code type created beforehand.

3. Publish the form and go to the application.

4. After creating your asset, you can scan your barcode, using the Barcode widget.

In the Databases tab, you can search by Barcode. The equipment which will have the scanned barcode as its attribute will then appear.
