What is the Date widget used for ?
The Date widget allows your operators to enter a date during their interventions. Today's date can be automatically entered.
Where is the Date widget ?
The Date widget can be found in your publishing studio, in the Tasks category.
How to configure it ?
It is possible to set a default date. The default date can be modified or not by the operator. If you want the operator to be able to modify this default date, you must activate the "Allow modification of the default value" option.
You can also set today's date as the default. You must activate the Today's date option.
You can also force the operator to fill in dates that are only before or after today's date. For example if you want the operator to be able to predict a new intervention date, it would be useful to activate the option "Date greater than or equal to today's date".
You can also use calculations on dates.
In practice, how do I use a Date widget in my Ermeo form ?
Context : Imagine a company carrying out building inspections. The operator must fill in the current date when he performs his intervention. You must therefore use the Date widget.
1. Drag and drop the Date widget into your form. Name the "Inspection Date".
2. In the settings, activate the "Today's date" option.
3. Publish your form. Today's Date widget will be automatically filled in with the date of the intervention.
To go further
If you want to be sure that the date chosen by the operator is after or before the date of the intervention, you can activate the option "Today', under "Date before" or under "Date after"
If you want to be sure that the date chosen is before or after the date of another Date task, you can click into "The date of another task", under "Date before" or under "Date after".
You can also add a number of days to another date task, in order to make your date comparaison more complex.
