Why assign a database to assets?
It is now mandatory to assign a database to assets at their creation, either from the Web Platform or during an intervention from the mobile application. This allows you to obtain a coherent and a global data structure in order to group your datas.
What happens to my assets without a database?
With the change of design from "Family" to "Database", all assets that do not have a database before are not lost! These resources will be available from the "Resources" tab using the following filter "Databases is no database".
How to assign a database to assets ?
From the Assets List
- From the "Assets" tab, filter your assets that do not have databases. In order to make a finer sort, do not hesitate to add conditions.
- Select the asserts you want to move
- Click on the bulk action "Move to another database" just above the grid.
- A window opens, you just have to choose the Database in which you want to move your assets
From Excel import
- From the "Assets" tab, filter your assets that do not have databases. In order to make a finer sort, do not hesitate to add conditions.
- Select then export the filtered assets
- From the Excel file, paste in the "Database" column the code of the database you want to assign.
- From the page of the database in question, import the Excel file that you have just modified
Where to find the code of a database?
You can find the code of a database in two different places:
- From the database page, at the top right by clicking on the hashtag icon (#)
- From the list of databases, in the "CODE" column
