On the editing studio, we can see four bricks within the Database category.
We will see how each of these bricks works.
1. Brick Creation
Using this brick, operators can create assets during their interventions, in order to enrich your databases.
Prerequisites:
- Create a number type asset attribute named Power. (if created previously, there is no need to recreate it).
- Create a text type asset attribute, named Brand. (if created previously, there is no need to recreate it).
1. Create a new form.
2. In the editing studio, drag and drop a creation brick. In the settings, choose the database in which the assets will be created.
2.1 In the parameters, pre-fill a name for the asset(s) that will be created.
We will limit the number of assets the operator can create.
2.2 In the settings, put 5 in minimum and 25 in maximum.
2.3 Within the Creation brick, insert a Number brick.
Link this brick to the Number type Power attribute for an asset.
Allow editing in the app.
2.4 Within the Creation brick, insert a Text brick.
Link this brick to the Text type Brand attribute.
Allow editing in the app.
3. Publish the form.
4. Launch the form from the application. Begin your intervention.
5. Click on "Create"
6. Create two assets with the following values:
Asset 1:
Number: 10 and Text: Ermeo
Asset 2:
Number: 15 and Text: Your Company
7. End the intervention
8. Return to the databases section within your platform. Find the asst created (by going to the Engines database for example).
9. You can see the asset created.

2. Brick Predefine an asset
With the help of this brick, we will see how to predefine an asset for your operator in the field. This will save your operator time because the asset will already be selected.
Prerequisites:
- Create an attribute of type number, named NumberTest. Add this attribute to the Engines database (if created previously, there is no need to recreate it).
- Create an attribute of type text, named TextTest. Add this attribute to the Engines database (if created previously, there is no need to recreate it).
- Create 4 different assets within the "Engines" database. Fill in attribute values โโfor each of the asset.
1. Create a new form.
2. Drag and drop a Preselection brick.
2.1 Choose the asset that you want to predefine for your operator among the 4 assets created previously.
2.2 Within the Preselection brick, insert a Number brick.
Link this Number brick to the NumberTest attribute created previously.
Check the option: Allow editing in the application.
2.3 Within the Preselection brick, insert a Text brick.
Link this Text brick to the TextTest attribute created previously.
Check the options: Allow editing in the app and Pre-fill value in the app.
3. Make the form active and publish it.
4. Launch the form from the application
5. Click on the predefined asse.
6. Enter a number in the Number brick
7. A text is already pre-filled for the Text brick. You can change it.
8. End the intervention.
9. Go back to the Engines database within your platform. Find the asset that you predefined in step 2.1.
10. You can see the attribute changes for your asset.
3. Manual Selection Brick
With the help of this brick, we are going to see how an operator will be able to choose assets from a predefined list, manually during his intervention. You will be able to restrict this selection for your operator.
Prerequisites:
- Create an attribute of type number, named Power. Add this attribute to the Engines database (if created previously, there is no need to recreate it).
- Create an attribute of type text, named Mark. Add this attribute to the Engines database (if created previously, there is no need to recreate it).
- Create a asset named "Engine for intervention". Fill in attribute values โโfor this asset.
1. Create a new form.
2. Drag and drop a Manual Selection brick.
We will limit the number of assets that the operator can select.
2.1 In the parameters, enter a maximum value of 25.
2.2 In the parameters, place the following condition: "Database is Engines".
2.3 Within the "Manual Selection" brick, insert a Number brick.
Link this attribute with the Power attribute created previously.
Check the options: Allow editing in the app and Pre-fill the value in the app.
2.4 Still, within the "Manual Selection" brick, insert a Text block.
Link this attribute with the Brand attribute created previously.
Check the options: Allow editing in the app and Pre-fill the value in the app.
3. Make the form active and publish it.
4. Launch the form from the application.
5. Click on select.
6. Select the "Intervention engine" asset.
7. Enter the asset. Modify the attributes of this asset you wish.
8. Complete the intervention.
9. Go back to your platform in the databases section.
10. Notice the changes made to the attributes of the assets.
Congratulations! You have modified assets using the manual selection brick.
4. Brick Automatic Selection
Using this brick, we are going to see how, according to predefined criteria, an operator can work on assets selected by his supervisor. Unlike the Predefine a asset brick, here we will be able to select several assets and not just one at a time.
Prerequisites:
- Create an attribute of type number, named Power. Add this attribute to the Engines database (if created previously, there is no need to recreate it).
- Create an attribute of type text, named Mark. Add this attribute to the Engines database (if created previously, there is no need to recreate it).
- Create two assets named "Test Engine" and "Second Test Engine". Fill in the "Test" value for the "Brand" attribute.

2. Drag and drop an Automatic Selection brick
2.1 The operator may be limited in the number of assets he can select.
2.2 Put 25 in maximum.
2.3 Set the following condition: "Database is engine" and the "Brand" attribute is "Test".
2.4 In the "Automatic selection" brick, insert a Number brick.
Link this attribute with the Power attribute created previously.
Check the options: Allow editing in the app and Pre-fill the value in the app.
2.5 In the "Automatic selection" box, insert a Text box.
Link this attribute with the Brand attribute created previously.
Check the options: Allow editing in the app and Pre-fill the value in the app.
3. Make the form active and publish it.
4. Launch the form from the application.
5. Click on "Automatic Selection".
6. Enter each of the selected asset, and modify the attributes of the asset as you wish.
7. End the intervention.
8. Go back to your platform in the databases section.
9. Notice the changes made to the attributes of the asset.
