📃4. Create a custom template

Before you start, it's a good idea to watch this video on creating custom template

Part 1

Use the template available at the bottom of the page

To create a custom report, go to the Documents tab of the platform, choose the form Engine maintenance walkaround

1. Open the Custom Template tab.
2. Download the custom reports configuration file

An Excel file is downloaded with all the tags of our form.

Part 2

We are going to make a custom report using a Word file. In the data section of the downloaded configuration file:

• Copy the corresponding answer tag to the task Name, and paste it into the Word file in front of the same question.

• Continue filling the Word File up to the task named"Evaluate the cleanliness of the engine, give a score from 1 to 5"

   
• For the Take a picture question, copy the tag as shown in the example, and add ":image" at the end of the tag before the end of the tag. This gives us a tag similar to the following: ## image_8rH2aQc0:image##

• If we want a specific image size we can find documentation in the special cases section. The different photo formats are explained inside. For example, to set the photo format with a fixed width of 200px and a proportional height, the format should be similar to this one:
  ## image_8rH2aQc0:image-200x ##

• Continue filling in the remaining tags in the form

The Signature brick works like the Image brick, so you have to think about adding ": image" at the end of the tag.

Part 3

It is possible to also use these tags for questions. This is useful if a question tends to change in the form and you do not want to update the Word file with each change.

• In the "What is the general condition of the engine" question, copy the corresponding tag in the column question tags and replace this tag with the same question in the Word file.
   
  Part 4

Now that the Word file and set up well, you have to import it.

• Save the file
• Return to the Ermeo platform on the document "Engine maintenance walkaround"
• Open the tab "custom templates"
• Click on "Import a template"

• Return to the form "Engine maintenance walkaround" and open the studio.
• Click on the brick 4.3
• Edit by clicking on the pen
• In Template, choose the name of the report

Complete the form and check your emails to ensure that the personalized report has been sent.
